Background
This is a collection of visual development and character design drawings I did for “Lilo and Stitch” and “Brother Bear”.
The Grand Councilwoman was a lot of fun to work on, because initially the directors weren’t sure what they wanted. After Zoe Caldwell was cast to perform the role of the Grand Councilwoman, the character changed from a young princess type to an older and wiser leader. She went through a rather ornate period with Elizabethan inspired gowns and settled as a relatively streamlined character.
On “Brother Bear” I was originally cast to work on the older brother (Sitka) in the film, so most of my preliminary work for that film was spent working on him. I eventually was cast to work on Kenai in his human form about a month before production started.
